Fremantle face St Kilda on Sunday at Optus Stadium for the annual Starlight Purple Haze Game.
Eleven Fremantle-listed players ran out for Peel at the weekend, with the Thunder winning by a point against Perth in the pre-season clash.
Here’s who impressed for Peel and could come in for Fremantle.
Brandon Matera
Matera missed round one due to suspension and was not selected for Fremantle’s second round clash against Gold Coast. Matera is a possible selection if Fremantle opts to bring in another small forward against the Saints. For Peel he kicked 2.1, had five marks and laid four tackles. He also collected 17 disposals, including 13 kicks and four handballs.
Taylin Duman
The defender has missed selection for Fremantle’s opening two games of the season but impressed for Peel against the Demons.
Playing on the wing, Duman collected 24 disposals with 21 kicks and three handballs, he took nine marks and kicked two goals.
His most recent AFL appearance came in round 23 against Collingwood, where he had a career-best game with 24 touches and eight marks.
Tom North
If a spot opens up in Fremantle’s midfield, second-year player Tom North could be in line for a debut. North put up good numbers for Peel, with 22 disposals composting of 11 kicks and 11 handballs. The 20-year-old also laid nine tackles and had six clearances in the engine room.
Ryan Nyhuis
The defender last played for Fremantle in round 22 of the 2018 season. He had 14 disposals for Peel, with 12 kicks and two handballs, running at 85.7 per cent efficiency. He also took seven uncontested marks in the contest.
Tobe Watson
The rookie defender impressed for Peel with 15 disposals at 93.3 per cent efficiency and five marks, but it is likely the 21-year-old will spend more time in the WAFL prior to making his debut.
Sam Switkowski
Switkowski made his return from a hamstring injury sustained in the JLT Community Series at the weekend for Peel. On limited minutes he had 12 disposals and laid five tackles.
