Fox Footy’s Gerard Healy has given our Chris Mayne the nod as the player he’d want to kick for goal after the siren from 45 meters out, directly in front to win the grand final.

It was during a Tuesday afternoon online chat with Fox Footy fans that a reader begged the question, to which the 1988 Brownlow Medallist replied "Chris Mayne or (Adelaide’s) Jason Porplyzia".

But Healy leaned slightly towards the Freo Docker, who has kicked 18.5 this season.

Mayne had one of the most accurate seasons on record in 2012, booting 39.7, which included a phenomenal 25.4 from set shots.
