Fremantle are hopeful Ash Brazill will return for their elimination final against Essendon this Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval, after working through an ankle injury.
The defender was ruled out during the third quarter of the week 9 clash with GWS, and missed the final match of the home and away season last week against the Bulldogs.
AFLW High Performance Manager Corey Morris said after resting Brazill, the Club is hopeful to see her feature in the final.
“She missed over the weekend with some ankle soreness,” Morris said on Brazill.
“We’ll progress her across this week at training and see if she’s good to go this weekend, but we’re confident she should be.”
Morris provided a positive update on captain Ange Stannett and co-vice-captain Áine Tighe, who have both progressed through their ACL rehab.
“Ange has been progressing her runs really well,” Morris said.
“She’s progressed them to a bit more speed work over the last couple of sessions, so it’s looking good.
“Áine’s progressing really well – she’s back to weight bearing now.
“She’s pushing us and the medical team to continue progressing her rehab, which is really good.”
