Fremantle Executive General Manager of Football Joe Brierty has confirmed defender Brandon Walker will undergo surgery after dislocating his left shoulder during the Club’s Round 2 loss to Sydney.
“After seeking specialists’ advice on Tuesday, Walker will undergo surgery next week to repair his left shoulder following the dislocation against the Swans,” Brierty said.
“A confirmed timeline for his return to play will be updated following the stabilisation procedure.”
Walker previously injured the same shoulder during pre-season.
Brierty said the Club will put their full support behind Walker.
“It is disappointing for Brandon. Our performance health team will support him through his rehab, and I know Brandon will do everything in his powers to return to football in the later part of this season," Brierty said.
Walker missed just four games in 2024 after returning from a serious knee injury suffered late in 2023.
