Four Fremantle guns have recommitted to the Club, with Tunisha Kikoak, Ebony Antonio, Amy Mulholland and Gabby Biedenweg-Webster all signing contract extensions.
Kikoak has signed a two-year deal that will see her remain at the Club until at least the end of the 2026 season, while Antonio, Mulholland and Biedenweg-Webster have extended until at least the end of 2025.
After missing out on the 2023 AFLW Draft, 19-year-old Kikoak initially signed as a replacement player for Kiara Bowers in May 2024, and played 11 of a possible 13 games in her break-out season, and booting six goals.
Kikoak was also named in the AFLPA’s 2024 22under22 Squad as a forward and was awarded Fremantle’s Best First Year Player for 2024.
AFLW List Manager Darryn Fry said he was pleased for Kikoak, who will continue to develop as a key position player and support ruck option.
“Tunisha has done an incredible job, first coming in as a replacement player, moving from Tasmania on short notice and to then play 11 games, including finals,” Fry said.
“We are excited to see TK take the next steps forward as she continues to develop her key position craft.”
Inaugural Freo Docker Antonio will play her tenth AFLW season in 2025.
As a forward, Antonio has booted 38 goals across her 70-game career to date and will look to continue that count in 2025.
Antonio was named in the 2018 All Australian side, awarded Fremantle’s Fairest and Best in the same year, and won the Derby medal, AFLW Goal of the Year and was Fremantle’s Leading Goalkicker in Season 6 (2022).
“It was pleasing to see Ebony return to play a full season after a couple of injury interrupted years, playing an important role up forward,” Fry said
“We look forward to Ebony being a strong presence in the front half of the ground again in 2025.”
A former Gaelic footballer, Mulholland has played 29 games for Fremantle across three seasons since getting picked up in the 2022 AFLW Draft.
“We are delighted to have Amy remain with us for the 2025 season,” Fry said.
“The small forward role can be tough at times, but Amy played a very important role for us there this year, as well as kicking a couple of important goals at crucial moments.”
Biedenweg-Webster signed as a replacement player for Ange Stannett, just two months before the start of the 2024 NAB AFLW Season.
The former Sun slotted into the side seamlessly, which saw her make her Club debut in week 3, playing 11 games in total for 2024.
Biedenweg-Webster had a career-best season in her first in purple, and booted five goals across 11 games, including her two majors in the week 8 RAC Derby.
“Gabby should be extremely pleased with her achievements this season, playing in 11 games in season 2024, after playing only 3 in her previous two seasons in the AFLW,” Fry said.
“Her express speed will again be important for us in 2025.”
