Fremantle’s annual pre-season Community Camp is back, with the Club’s first-to-four-year players heading to the Pilbara for this year’s event.
The Community Camp, which is proudly supported by Woodside Energy, will run across three days from Monday 18 November to Wednesday 20 November, featuring school visits, a super clinic, a coaching workshop, a volunteer appreciation breakfast, and a cultural immersion session.
Players will visit a total of 10 primary and secondary schools across Karratha, Wickham, Dampier, and Roebourne on Tuesday and Wednesday, engaging with local students and youth to deliver clinics and share their journey and insights into the life of an AFL player.
On Monday 18 November, a Super Clinic for ages 5-12 will take place at Bulgarra Oval, while the Coach Education Workshop will be hosted at the Frank Butler Community Centre featuring Senior Coach Justin Longmuir and Fremantle development coaches.
Tuesday 19 November will feature the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast at the Karratha Kats Football Club, which is a great opportunity to reward and recognise the vital contribution that our volunteers play in Community Football.
CEO Simon Garlick, Senior Coach Justin Longmuir, Peel Premiership Coach Adam Read and selected players forming the panel, along with a silent auction with all proceeds donated to the West Pilbara Junior Football Association while our first-to-four-year players will visit schools.
The three-day camp will wrap up on Wednesday 20 November, with select first-to-four-year players visiting schools before players and staff attend a Cultural Immersion Experience.
Freo fans in the region will have the opportunity to meet some of their favourite players, giving fans the chance to get autographs, photos and have a chat.
