Ash Brazill will miss Walyalup’s last match of the regular home and away season against the Western Bulldogs with the defender awaiting scan results for an ankle injury.
Brazill was ruled out of Walyalup’s clash with the GWS Giants last Saturday in the third term with ankle soreness.
High Performance Manager Corey Morris said the Club will have more information on the defender’s return to play once results are received.
“Ash, we’re just waiting on some scan results to determine the severity of the ankle injury and why it’s troubling her,” Morris said.
“Once we get the results, we’ll make a plan from there.”
Defender Madi Scanlon and co-vice-captain Hayley Miller are both tests for week 10, as Morris provided an update on the pair.
Scanlon missed the week 9 match with the Giants after being placed under concussion protocols from a head knock sustained in the week 8 RAC Derby.
“Madi’s progressed through very well so far. She’ll need to get through full training this week to be available for selection,” Morris said.
Miller has been working through a calf niggle, which has seen her miss Walyalup’s last three matches.
“Hayley’s going well. We took a conservative approach over the weekend with her,” Morris said.
“She completed a good run over the weekend, and she’ll need to get through training this week as well to be available.”
Forward Tara Stribley could be available for selection after managing an ankle injury throughout the season.
“Tara’s going very well. She’ll be up for selection this week provided she gets through main training,” Morris said.
“She also completed a solid run over the weekend.”
