The Rainbow Shoelace Project
Bankwest will distribute rainbow shoelace beads at the match to support the LGBTIQ+ community at Saturday's game. This initiative, called the Rainbow Shoelace Project, was created by 12-year-old Abbie Jane and her friend Max Dawnn in Broken Hill. Abbie's idea came from her own experience of feeling afraid to wear Pride-colours at school. The project aims to show solidarity with LGBTIQ+ individuals by encouraging everyone, including allies, to wear these colourful beads on their shoelaces.
