Fremantle can confirm scans have revealed a new fracture to captain Alex Pearce’s radius bone in his left forearm during yesterday’s round 19 win over Melbourne.
After four weeks on the sidelines, Pearce was cleared to return to play his first game after fracturing the same bone against the Gold Coast Suns in round 15.
“Unfortunately, Alex has suffered another fracture of his left radius after an incident in the third quarter against Melbourne,” said Fremantle Executive General Manager of Football Joe Brierty.
“It’s really disappointing for Alex who made such a strong return in the opening three quarters of the game.
SUB 🚨: Alex Pearce has been subbed out after a knock to his forearm, James Aish will come into the game.
