Second-year player Hugh Davies has been named on-field in the Club’s 26-man extended squad and will make his AFL debut when Fremantle take on Gold Coast on Sunday at Optus Stadium.
Davies was taken with pick 33 in the 2022 National Draft and has been a key feature for Peel’s defence, playing 28 games over his time at the Club, including the Thunder’s run to the 2023 WAFL Grand Final.
The 196cm key defender put pen to paper in December of 2023, signing a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the Club until at least the end of the 2026 season.
Defender Heath Chapman has been named on-field following his late withdrawal from the Bulldogs clash last weekend with hamstring awareness.
Veteran forward Michael Walters goes out of the team due to a hamstring injury he sustained in the Club’s loss to the Bulldogs in round 14.
Young key defender Joshua Draper has been omitted for the Sunday clash after playing 12 consecutive games since debuting in round two.
Tom Emmett, Neil Erasmus and Corey Wagner have all been recalled to the 26-man squad, named on the extended interchange.
Fremantle’s final team will be announced at 3pm WST on Friday afternoon at fremantlefc.com.au
Bouncedown for the clash is at 2pm WST with the game broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy, as well as streamed live on Kayo.
