Fremantle have made one change to their final 23 that will play the Western Bulldogs on Saturday at Marvel Stadium.
Young midfielder Matthew Johnson will make his return to the senior side after being managed for the Club’s win over Melbourne in Alice Springs.
Johnson has played 11 games so far in the 2024 season, averaging 17 disposals and four marks per game.
He has been named on the Club’s five-man bench alongside Sam Sturt, Bailey Banfield, Jaeger O’Meara and James Aish.
Defender Corey Wagner has been omitted from the 23 after featuring as the substitute against Melbourne.
It’s no surprise that the team remains virtually unchanged following the Club’s 92-point victory in round 12, a contest which saw Fremantle restrict the Demons to just 49-points while booting 22 goals of their own, including four players with three or more majors on the day.
Regardless of the most complete four quarter performance of the year, senior coach Justin Longmuir said the Club would not overlook the Bulldogs this week.
“You get too far ahead of yourself in this game, and you get a whack,” Longmuir said.
Fremantle played the Western Bulldogs in round 7 this year, walking away 24-point winners after a vintage 37 disposals from Nat Fyfe and three goals from Bailey Banfield, including back-to-back goals deep in the fourth quarter to help secure the win.

Caleb Serong was also instrumental on the day, amassing a Club-record 17 clearances from his equal game high 37 disposals.
The substitute will be confirmed from one of the five players named on the bench an hour before the bounce on Saturday.
Bouncedown for the clash will be at 11.45am WST and will be broadcast live nationally on Fox Footy and streamed live on Kayo.
Free-to-air Broadcast Delay
There will be a delayed broadcast on free-to-air TV into Perth commencing at 3pm WST on Channel 7.
This Saturday will be the third and final time the Club has a delayed broadcast on free-to-air TV for the season.
Fremantle fans looking to watch the game live who don’t have Pay TV subscription can visit one of Pirate Life’s Perth-based ‘Anchor Venues’ to get together with fellow Freo fans.
