Serong has continued his 2023 form throughout the first 12 games of the season, with the star midfielder dominating not just the Club’s, but many of the AFL’s major stat lines league wide, including breaking the Club’s record for clearances (17) and disposals in a single game (46).

Sharp’s acquisition during the Supplemental Selection Period has paid dividends, with the 22-year-old’s ability to patrol up and down the wing a shining factor so far this season. Sharp has quickly become a crowd favourite amongst the Purple Army and we can’t wait to see what the second half of his season has in store.

Luke Jackson

What isn’t there to love about Jackson? In the ruck, or forward of the ball, Jackson impacts the play with his ability to impact both in the air and at ground level due to his incredible versatility. Jackson broke his career disposal record in round 10 against the Saints and will look to find further continuity up forward with Jye Amiss and Josh Treacy, while also sharing the ruck load with Sean Darcy.

Hayden Young

Young’s transition to the midfield has been one of the big moves of 2024, with the big-bodied midfielder showcasing his composure and physical presence around the contest. Young has taken no time moulding to the midfield group from the first part of the season, and we can’t wait to see what the back half of the year brings for the young bull.

Josh Treacy

Treacy’s year so far has delivered career-best numbers. The 21-year-old has brought his physicality to the forward line and has inserted himself into the conversation as one of the young emerging key forwards in the league. Treacy’s already kicked more goals and taken more marks in the first 12 games of the year than he did for the whole of 2023. He also boasts the best goal accuracy of any player in the top 10 of the Coleman, helping guide Freo to the second-best shot at goal accuracy league-wide.
