The Fremantle Football Club conveys its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of WA football great John Todd, following the passing of the South Fremantle footballing legend on Monday.
Todd made his name in the WAFL as a player, winning the Sandover Medal at 17 in 1955.
He played 132 games for South Fremantle, before going on to coach six WAFL premierships across East Fremantle (1974), South Fremantle (1997), and Swan Districts (1982, 1983, 1984 and 1990).
Todd was inducted into the Australian Hall of Fame in 2003 and in 2004 was elevated to legend status in the West Australian Football Hall of Fame.
He represented WA 13 times and was selected as All-Australian in 1961.
Todd was 86 years old.
