Defender Jordan Clark has signed a three-year contract extension to remain at Fremantle until the end of season 2028.

The 23-year-old, who had been contracted until the end of 2025, says he jumped at the chance to lock in his future.

“For me it was a no brainer,” Clark said.

“Getting to play another three years of that is really exciting and something I don’t take for granted that’s for sure.”

Clark joins a growing core list of Fremantle players signed to 2026 and beyond including Jye Amiss, Brennan Cox, Sean Darcy, Luke Jackson, Matthew Johnson, Luke Ryan, Caleb Serong and Hayden Young.

Fremantle Head of Player Personnel David Walls paid tribute to the way Clark has elevated his game, playing 52 consecutive matches for the Club.

“Jordan is all-in at Fremantle. He plays with real passion, bleeds purple and has become an integral part of our back seven,” Walls said.

“He is growing into a real leader on and off the field.”

Selected by Geelong with pick 15 in the 2018 National Draft, Clark played 32 games in three seasons with the Cats before being traded to Fremantle at the end of season 2021.

“We wanted him, we targeted him and traded to bring him home,” said Walls.

“He’s playing great football this season and to sign him long term is fantastic for our Club.”

After making an outstanding start to season 2024 off half-back, the 23-year-old has paid tribute to teammates.

“Obviously it’s nice to be playing well and to have that confidence in my game at the moment, but there are a lot of other factors that are allowing me to play the way I play,” Clark said.

“This game isn’t about the individual success or performance for me. I just want to win. I want our team to win. I want us to be playing finals and for this Club to be successful.”
