Fremantle senior coach Ross Lyon says North Melbourne’s best is good enough to knock off most teams.
Lyon said the Kangaroos had a good mix of youth and experience along with an even spread of talent across the field.
He expects a tough challenge at Domain Stadium on Saturday night.
“They’re a top four team from last year,” he said.
“We know they’ve regrouped really well and their best is very good.
“They’ve got really good depth and a super list.”
Lyon said they had a mix of experience and youth.
“They’ve got some evergreens running around like Brent Harvey,” he said.
“They are pretty impressive up forward with Petrie, Waite and those guys.
“It’s going to be difficult to stop, if it opens up and comes lace out to them.”
Lyon said even without Nick Dal Santo and Andrew Swallow heading west, the Kangaroos’ midfield was still very capable.
“It certainly hasn’t stopped them beating a couple of teams with good midfielders such as Richmond and Essendon,” he said.
Fremantle play North Melbourne at Domain Stadium Saturday 23 May at Domain Stadium. Bounce down is at 5.40pm.
