Craig played key forward with short stints in the ruck. He was a productive forward kicking four goals, three from set shots, one on the run. He showed some sharp reactions to lead and find space forward of the play. He is improving with his reaction to defend in chasing and covering the most dangerous options.
Jack Hannath 13 disposals (8 kicks, 5 handballs) 9 marks, 4 tackles, 24 hitouts
Jack played key forward rotating in the ruck with Jon Griffin. He showed some strong bodywork in ruck contests controlling the space to win the most hitouts in the game. He used the ball effectively by hand and foot and continues to work hard in general play to find space and be an option.
Jon Griffin 17 disposals (10 kicks, 7 handballs) 11 marks, 17 hitouts
Jon played the majority of the game in the ruck rotating with Hannath. Now in his fourth week in, he is showing good run over four quarters. He was able to effectively spread to space in general play to be used as a marking target, taking nine uncontested marks and imposed himself around the ground ball contest, making three tackles and applying good ground level pressure.
Kepler Bradley 9 disposals (7 kicks, 2 handballs) 7 marks, 1 goal
In his return to football Kepler played as a deeper forward on restricted game time. He showed some positive examples of sharp change of direction and some good leads. He didn’t waste any disposals, he was composed with his short kicks and it was a positive day for Kepler.
Michael Wood 9 disposals (8 kicks, 1 handball) 5 marks, 1 goal
Michael played as a high forward with some time on the wing and moved briefly into defence. He showed some good off-ball running patterns where he was able to support the defence and impact in the aerial contests. Michael is still working on his understanding and execution of his role as a high forward.
Matt Taberner 17 disposals (15 kicks, 2 handballs) 13 marks, 3 goals
Matt played as a high running forward, winning his position convincingly. He displayed hard run over four quarters. He constantly presented as a target, taking 13 marks and showed some strong leading patterns and contests. He finished with three goals from set shots and provided a really strong outlet target.
