Site preparation for the Cockburn ARC Evolution expansion project at the Club’s facilities is scheduled to commence on Monday 19 February.
The project, scheduled for completion in Summer 2025, will see the construction of state-of-the-art AFLW changerooms, providing top-tier amenities to our AFLW athletes, as well as changerooms to support community sporting programs. There will also be an undercover 250-seat spectator viewing stand and a multipurpose function space to support education and community programs.
As part of the construction process, the public will no longer be able to access the Victor George Kailis Oval from the staircase, located past the Fremantle Dockers reception area, which will be closed for the duration of the project.
Ensuring safety and efficiency of the expansion, a fenced-off area will be established from Remembrance Avenue to the staircase from the Cockburn ARC building (see picture below).
Fans are now encouraged to view training from the Grass Hill located at the southern side of the Oval, which is accessible via Remembrance Avenue (see picture below).
The Club advises anyone wanting to watch training to park in the main parking area off Veterans Parade (see picture below), bypass the main entrance to Cockburn ARC and walk around to Remembrance Avenue via the dedicated footpath.
Please do not park in the bus turning zone located on Remembrance Avenue (see picture below) as this is required to be clear at all times for buses to turn.
Despite the temporary adjustments, the Fremantle Football Club remains committed to player and fan interactions. The Club is actively making arrangements to ensure that opportunities for player and fan interaction are maintained throughout the construction period.
