Fremantle will lodge paperwork with the AFL on Monday to seek approval for young Fremantle forward Sebit Kuek to be placed on the Club’s long-term injury list while he recovers from knee and shoulder surgery.
Subject to AFL approval Josh Corbett will also be placed on the Club’s long-term injury list with Corbett set to undergo hip surgery next week.
A mid-season draftee in 2022, Kuek injured his knee while playing for Peel Thunder in the WAFL last July.

“It’s unfortunate for Sebit and Josh, who have both had promising starts since arriving at the Club,” said Fremantle Head of Player Personnel David Walls.
“Josh and Sebit’s long term health is our priority and the Club will support them with their rehab while getting back to being able to play.
“We’re losing two talls with Sebit and Josh having long-term injuries and that also gives us the opportunity to have four train-ons.
“We’ll look at a few different types there. A couple of talls and some small forwards as well.”
Fremantle are currently finalising train-on players who will join the Club for pre-season training next week.
Fremantle will have the opportunity to make two selections in the pre-season supplemental selection period.
