Fremantle's second fixture of 2024 has been confirmed, with a return to the Northern Territory locked in.
The Club will play for AFL premiership points for the very first time in Alice Springs when they take on Melbourne in round 12 at Traeger Park on Sunday 2 June.
Fremantle have played four AFL games previously in the Northern Territory with a 1-3 record, while the Demons have an 8-11 record across both NT venues.
The news comes after the fixture for Gather Round was revealed on Sunday. The full fixture for the 2024 premiership season, including the match times for the NT games, will be announced later this week.
Fremantle Chief Executive Officer Simon Garlick said it was an exciting prospect to be playing football in Alice Springs.
"This is a fixture that we’re really excited about," Garlick said.
"To play Melbourne in the heart of the Northern Territory will be something special for our players and our staff."
