Walyalup are still finalising details on the return of star midfielder Kiara Bowers after ruling her out of Saturday’s round seven clash with Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.
Bowers missed the final quarter of the round four clash with Essendon due to knee soreness and was ruled out of the following games against Richmond and North Melbourne.
AFLW Senior Physiotherapist Brett Fletcher provided an update on Bowers.
“Unfortunately, at this stage we don’t have any further details on what Kiara’s return will look like,” Fletcher said.
“We do know at this stage that she won’t be available for this weekend’s clash."
Fletcher said it was pleasing to see the return of Ebony Antonio against North Melbourne at the weekend after the winger/forward missed Walyalup’s round five clash with Richmond.
“Ebony was a late out for the Richmond clash, we just wanted to be cautious with her,” Fletcher said.
“She got through the game really well (against North Melbourne) which was pleasing to see and we expect her to be available again for this weekend.”
