Gabby O’Sullivan’s 2023 NAB AFLW season remains in doubt after dislocating a shoulder in the round two clash against Collingwood at Victoria Park.
AFLW Senior Physiotherapist Brett Fletcher said the Club continues to consult with specialists and hasn’t given up on her playing again this season.
“Unfortunately, Gabby injured her shoulder on the weekend – she had scans yesterday and we’re consulting with specialists to see what her return to football looks like,” Fletcher said.
“We haven’t completely ruled her out for this season just yet.”
Utility Roxy Roux (leg) and defender Phil Seth (hand) have missed Fremantle’s early fixtures, however they are progressing towards full fitness.
After suffering from shin soreness during pre-season, Roxy Roux will miss Saturday’s clash with Hawthorn at Fremantle Oval but the round four fixture against Essendon at Windy Hill remains a possibility.
“Roxy’s training really well with her shin soreness, and we’re looking for her to be available next weekend,” Fletcher said.
