Fremantle have made two changes for their final game of the 2023 season against Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday.
Michael Walters and Joel Hamling return to the starting 22, replacing injured pair Jaeger O’Meara (calf) and Bailey Banfield (shoulder) in the line-up.
Walters had sat out Freo’s round 23 clash with Port Adelaide due to a calf concern, while Hamling has been recalled after playing for Peel in recent weeks.
The key defender will return for his fourth AFL game of the year after playing in rounds 18-20 while fellow key Brennan Cox was sidelined with an ankle injury.
Last week’s tactical sub Neil Erasmus joins Liam Reidy, Nathan O'Driscoll and Travis Colyer as the emergencies for the clash.
One of the four will be named as the substitute an hour before bouncedown.
The clash will mark the first time Freo have played the Hawks in Melbourne since 2014.
The past 12 encounters between the two sides have been played at either Optus Stadium, Subiaco Oval or York Park in Tasmania.
Fremantle and Hawthorn last met earlier this year in the Club's Starlight Purple Haze Game, presented by South32, during round eight, that saw Freo chalk up a 69-point win.
Bouncedown for the clash is at 11.45am (WST) and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy as well as streamed live on Kayo.
