Fremantle Dockers midfielder Nat Fyfe added to his list of achievements after receiving the Sport Award at the 2016 Western Australian of the Year awards on Friday night.
Fyfe was a co-winner of this year’s award alongside West Coast Fever goal shooter Caitlin Bassett.
The prestigious award complements an already impressive number of achievements for the Freo midfielder, which include two AFLPA MVP awards, back-to-back Doig Medals in 2013/14, 2015 WA Sports Star of the Year and last year’s Brownlow Medal for the fairest and best player in the AFL.
The Gala dinner on Friday kicked off Celebrate WA’s annual WA Day celebrations, which promote excellence and achievements of the West Australian public and encourage pride in all that makes WA great.
