AFLW season three is here! Freo ran through the banner looking for their first win on the road.
After Melbourne kicked the opening two goals with a stiff breeze to their backs, Fremantle responded with the next three goals to wrap up the opening term. Debutant Sabreena Duffy got the ball rolling for Freo.

After Melbourne kicked away in the third term, Freo responded in the final quarter. Goals to Bowers and Gemma Houghton helped Freo regain the lead.
After a tense few minutes with a narrow lead, the siren finally went following a clutch mark by debutant Katie-Jayne Grieve.
