The West Coast Eagles match committee today affirmed that there was a strong chance the club will take an unchanged line-up into Sunday’s RAC Derby against Fremantle.

The same 22 who started against the GWS Giants last week have been retained while the substitute Elijah Hewett has been named among four emergencies who are competing for the 23rd spot.

Hewett has been named alongside wingman Greg Clark, tall defender Harry Edwards and young utility player Brady Hough on the emergency list.

The 14th selection in last year’s draft started as the emergency last week and was thrust into the action immediately making his way into the centre bounce.

If Hewett retains his place it will be the first time since rounds six and seven in 2020 that the Eagles have gone into consecutive matches with the same personnel.
