Garrick Ibbotson’s Achilles injury is progressing well, according to Fremantle sports science manager Jason Weber.

The defender has missed the past two games.

“Garrick is doing well he's had a run this morning, he's certainly improved from where he was last week, and he'll be a legitimate test come Friday,” Weber said.

Stephen Hill, who was a late withdrawal from last week’s game against GWS appears set to return for this Sunday’s game at the MCG.

“He was borderline last week and Ross took the decision to rest him out,” Weber said.

“He trained this morning and will be right to go on Friday.”

Clancee Pearce was subbed out in the fourth quarter of the round 19 game against Carlton with a calf injury and has a little further to go.

“Clancee is still a week or two away, he's progressing along nicely and he should be due around round 23 with good fortune,” Weber said.

Luke McPharlin is on track with his rehab program and Weber said the defender is on target to return at the end of the season.

Viv Michie will miss the rest of the season after sustaining a knee injury in the WAFL on the weekend.

Stress fractures in his right foot early in both the 2011 and 2012 seasons kept him on the sidelines for two years.

He returned to action for the 2013 season and had been consistently among Peel Thunder’s best players.

“Viv landed awkwardly in a contest playing for Peel on the weekend and that's created a meniscal injury which will rule him out for the rest of the season as he will require surgery,” Weber said.
