Hugh Davies was the second highest rated key defender in the WAFL Colts competition behind Jedd Busslinger.
He rated elite for average disposals (19.0), disposal efficiency (80.7%), contested possessions (9.3), marks (5.3) and intercept possessions (9.0).
At School level for Christ Church Grammar, he was equally dominant averaging more than 22 disposals. He also averaged the most intercept marks in the PSA competition (4.3 per game).
His outstanding form at both levels was rewarded with selection in all four of WA's U18 Championships games and got better and better as the carnival went on.
He has shown significant improvement over the past 12 months and impresses with his elite composure and decision making, reading of the play, agility and clean hands.
