Defender Alex Pearce will be one of two inclusions to Fremantle’s line up to take on Richmond in a Friday night primetime clash at Marvel Stadium.
Pearce returns to the team after being a late out due to a calf complaint ahead of Fremantle’s round 17 clash with St Kilda.
Small forward Liam Henry also returns to the starting 22 for his first game since round 15, where he had 15 disposals and six marks against Carlton.
Henry was named as the medical substitute for Fremantle’s round 17 clash with St Kilda but was not used.
The pair will replace Rory Lobb (injured) and Travis Colyer (omitted) with Fremantle likely to explore the option of swinging Griffin Logue forward once again.
Senior Coach Justin Longmuir spoke about Logue’s role within the team as a swingman earlier in the week.
“The fact that he’s performed really well as a forward and he can bring some of his backline traits to the forward line, it’s where he benefits the team more,” Longmuir said.
“In my discussions with him he’s really open to being a bit of a swingman for us and playing multiple roles within the team.”
Colyer, Mitch Crowden, Lloyd Meek and Ethan Hughes will be Fremantle’s emergencies for the clash, with one of them to be named the medical sub an hour prior to bouncedown.
Bouncedown for the clash is at 7.50pm EST (5.50pm WST) and will be broadcast live into WA on 7mate, Fox Footy and can be streamed on Kayo.
