Fremantle pair Will Brodie and Sean Darcy have earned coaches’ votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award from Sunday’s clash with Collingwood at Optus Stadium.
Brodie starred in the wet, leading all on ground with 36 disposals and a game-high 11 clearances, to go with six tackles, six intercepts and 128 AFL Fantasy points.
This is Brodie’s fifth time in the votes in 2022, earning the perfect 10 against GWS (round four), four votes against Essendon (round five), seven votes against North Melbourne (round seven) and one vote against the Suns (round nine).
Darcy was second best on ground at the clearance count with 10, alongside his 44 hitouts, 22 disposals, five score involvements and 126 AFL Fantasy points.
The ruckman has now featured in the votes three times this season, earning votes previously against Essendon (round five) and North Melbourne (round eight).
Collingwood’s Jack Crisp earnt top votes with eight, while Oliver Henry and Darcy Moore shared five apiece.
Will Hoskin-Elliott and John Noble round out the votes with one each.
Despite not receiving votes for the past two weeks, midfielder Andrew Brayshaw remains in the top five on the AFLCA leaderboard.
Brayshaw sits fifth behind Melbourne pair Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca, Carlton’s Patrick Cripps and Brisbane’s Lachie Neale.
