Fremantle will open their 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season with a clash against Adelaide on Sunday 20 March at Adelaide Oval.
The away clash will be a twilight match with bouncedown at 4.10pm local time.
The AFL announced the round one fixture on Saturday morning, with the full fixture set to be confirmed during the week.
The opening round could see the likes of recruits Jordan Clark and Will Brodie line up for their new team for the first time.
There could also be the return of a number of fan favourites who missed the majority of the 2021 season due to injury, with the likes of Heath Chapman, Brennan Cox, Sam Sturt, Michael Frederick and Joel Hamling aiming for a big summer on the track.
The final round of the 2022 AFL Women’s Competition has also been finalised with the women’s team finishing off their regular season in Ballarat against the Western Bulldogs.
The AFLW fixture was released earlier in the week in which Fremantle will also open their season against the Crows.
However, the season opener will be played under lights at Fremantle Oval for the first time in AFLW history.
