A number of Freo players put their hand up for selection consideration after solid performances for Peel Thunder in the WAFL.
These are some of the players whose performances have put them in the mix for a round 11 appearance against Essendon on Saturday.
Darcy Tucker
The rookie midfielder had one of his most well rounded performances yet for Peel Thunder on Saturday. Tucker found plenty of the ball, finishing with a season-high 29 disposals against East Fremantle. In addition to finding the football, Tucker also used his left foot to great effect with 22 of his 29 touches coming by foot and also finished with 10 inside 50s against the Sharks.
Tendai Mzungu
Mzungu had 27 touches against East Fremantle and has averaged 24 disposals in his past three WAFL appearances. The hard running midfielder continued to work around the ground, finishing with a team-high eight tackles against the Sharks.
David Mundy
Mundy was in selection contention for Freo’s round 10 clash with St Kilda but ultimately missed due to a calf injury, but with a week’s rest under his belt, the skipper could provide additional skill and leadership for Saturday’s game against Essendon at Domain Stadium.
