The 150-game milestone beckons for Nathan Wilson with the rebounding defender signing on for the 2022 season.
Wilson played 18 games in 2021 but missed the final two rounds of the season with a hamstring injury to finish the year on 149 career games.
He ranked second for metres gained and rebound 50s for Fremantle in 2021 while averaging just under 17 disposals per game.
Despite being only 28, he will go into the 2022 season as the fifth oldest and fourth most-experienced player on Fremantle’s list.
Executive general manager of football operations Peter Bell said Wilson’s leadership and experience would be especially important next season.
“We’re very happy to have Nathan signing on for 2022,” Bell said.
“He’s played 149 games to date and will soon become only the fourth person on our list with 150 games of experience or more.
“It’s clear we have a young list and a young backline group, and it’s vital that we continue to have Nathan sharing his experience and knowledge both on and off the field.”
Wilson joined Fremantle ahead of the 2018 season and has played 72 games to date for the Club between 2018 and 2021.
