Introduction

Born to a Zimbabwean father and an Australian mother, Tendai began his football career in Perth Football Club development teams and playing colts with Trinity Aquinas Football Club. Tendai made the successful transition into senior football, with WAFL club, Perth Demons, playing 72 games over 5 years. Drafted to Fremantle Football Club in 2010, Tendai went on to play 102 games with the Dockers, which included a WAFL premiership with Peel Thunder, and later playing 4 career games with Greater Western Sydney. Tendai would play in the 2013 Grand Final as part of Fremantle Football Club’s first Grand Final appearance, kicking the club’s first goal in a Grand Final. Upon his retirement from AFL football, Tendai was to become Fremantle Football Club’s inaugural Next Generation Academy Coach in 2018

About the Tendai Mzungu Squad

The Fremantle Football Club's Next Generation Tendai Mzungu Squad is for players aged under 16 years. This academy focuses on high level decision making and execution of basic skills under game level pressure, preparing players for future State and National level football programs.
