Fremantle have brought a group of seven players into their extended squad for Sunday’s clash against Richmond at Optus Stadium.

Josh Treacy, Joel Western, Tobe Watson, Ethan Hughes, Brett Bewley, Connor Blakely and potential debutant Nathan O’Driscoll are all chances to run out in the clash.

There are three omissions at this stage in Nat Fyfe (shoulder), Michael Walters (hamstring) and Alex Pearce (concussion).

A late withdrawal due to illness against Sydney, Treacy is set to make his return to play his 12th AFL game.

In his weekly media conference on Thursday, senior coach Justin Longmuir said Treacy was ready to make his return but said O’Driscoll would likely need more time before earning a debut.

“There's going to be some opportunities that are created through injury on the weekend,” Longmuir said.

“We think Josh Treacy will come back into the team. He missed on the weekend with a bit of illness.

“I'm not going to declare a debutant just yet. We've been happy with (O’Driscoll’s) form and his progression, we just have to weigh up whether he's ready.”

Mitch Crowden, who replaced Treacy in the starting 22, remains in the squad while Blakely is also technically an inclusion after being the medical sub against the Swans.

Fremantle are throwing back to their very first AFL game in 1995, which was played against Richmond at the MCG, by bringing back the retro green and purple anchor jumper for Retro Round, thanks to 92.9 Triple M.

Freo will also wear white shorts and retro socks for the clash to emulate the full kit that Freo wore on the day.
