Midfielders Stephen Hill and Connor Blakely are set to make their returns for Fremantle against North Melbourne this Sunday at Etihad Stadium.
The pair are among five inclusions to Fremantle’s squad of 25 for the match, alongside defender Ryan Nyhuis, midfielder Josh Deluca and forward Shane Kersten.
Hill, who missed last week’s clash with St Kilda with a calf injury, has played 10 of Fremantle’s 14 games this season, averaging 20.7 disposals.
Friday’s training session remains the final hurdle for Hill’s selection, with the 27-year-old listed as a test on Freo’s injury list.
Blakely was omitted for the St Kilda game for not meeting team standards and is a likely inclusion.
If Nyhuis is named in Fremantle’s final 22 on Friday, he will become Fremantle’s seventh debutant for 2017.
The 20-year-old excelled at half-back for Peel against Claremont in round 15, racking up 30 disposals and taking six marks.
Deluca is also pressing for selection after a strong debut against Geelong in round 14.
Deluca missed the following week after picking up an ankle injury against the Cats and is listed as a test alongside Hill.
Kersten, who kicked the winning goal for Fremantle in round five against North Melbourne, is a chance to replace suspended forward Cam McCarthy.
McCarthy and Aaron Sandilands (hamstring) are Fremantle’s only omissions to their squad.
Meanwhile, North Melbourne have named six inclusions to their squad of 25.
Ben Cunnington returns after a suspension and is joined by Trent Dumont, Daniel Nielson, Cameron Zurhaar, Braydon Preuss and Jy Simpkin.
Jamie Macmillan (finger), Mason Wood (calf) and Jarrad Waite (calf) are the Kangaroos omissions.
The final 22 will be announced on fremantlefc.com.au at 3pm on Friday.
