Defender Griffin Logue is 'almost certain' to make his return from a concussion when Fremantle take on Collingwood this weekend, while Nat Fyfe's selection remains in the balance.
Speaking on 7NEWS on Tuesday, senior coach Justin Longmuir said Fyfe would only play if fully fit.
“We definitely won’t risk him but that doesn’t mean he won’t be right for this week. We will put him through a fitness test and training tomorrow,” Longmuir told 7NEWS.
“He has played with this injury before so we will be guided by him as much as anything else. We will just see how it goes at main training tomorrow.
“I would say 50-50 at this stage.
“Griff is almost certain to play. He as had the extra week to recover from that concussion. Tabs is looking really good, Fingers crossed he gets through training tomorrow and is good to go.”
Longmuir confirmed that defender Brennan Cox has had season-ending surgery following his hamstring tendon injury against the Western Bulldogs.
“Really disappointing,” Longmuir said.
“He has been a really good player for us this year. I feel like over the past two years he has really taken his footy to another level. It is going to be disappointing for him and the team.”
“He has had surgery and he is recovering well. It probably wasn’t as serious as Darcy Tucker’s last year it is probably more like Hayden Young’s this year. It will rule him out for a fair while but he will be ready to go at the start of the pre-season.”
