Hayden Ballantyne suffered a fractured cheek-bone with 10 minutes remaining in the second term. The dynamic forward laid a ferocious tackle and although he won a free kick for holding the ball, he came off worse-for-wear.

Utility Michael Barlow left the ground early in the third quarter after injuring the AC joint in his left shoulder and took no further part in the game.

Ross Lyon confirmed that Barlow was unlikely to be available for the clash with Gold Coast next Saturday while no time frame was placed on Ballantyne’s recovery.
