A tough day out there, Andy?
Yes, a really disappointing loss and a few of our key players looking like they’ve been injured so it’s very disappointing. It’s really disappointing to see such good players go down like that. I can only hope for the best with scans and results and hopefully we see them back out there sooner rather than later.

The Dogs are a great team. It was good to see the boys bring the fight to them in the third term especially?
We showed that when we’re playing our best footy, we’re actually really good. At patches they tore through us a few times and like you said that third quarter was really strong. When we’re playing our best footy, we’re a really good side.

What can the younger boys learn going up against them?
When one of their mids are down, someone else is bobbing up and kicking a goal or getting a lot of the footy. They work really well together even just tapping the ball on and releasing handballs into space for each other and they just work really well in terms of their movement at stoppage. I think that connection will come in our group, Adam, Caleb and myself are quite young so we’ve still got plenty of development to go but at times we were in awe a bit at how well they move the ball.

Talk us through your goal.
I looked to centre it, and everyone was covered off so I thought I might as well have a go at this. It just peeled back late, and the crowd went pretty crazy, so I turned around and gave them a bit. 

Josh Treacy really stepped up without Matt Taberner in today?
He’s someone who really plays his role every week and today he saw the scoreboard a few times which is awesome. He works so hard at training and to see him take a few really good grabs and he’s got an awesome kick so to see him smack a few set shots through was awesome.

David Mundy, another great performance from him.
A great player, a great leader and he’s so clean and strong in there that it’s hard for him not to have a good day. We just need more blokes stepping up like he did 

How do we regroup ahead of next week?
It’s a six-day break so there’s a really strong recovery focus. Obviously with a few of the injuries there’s opportunities for younger guys to step up and fill that role so it’s really exciting to see who’s going to come in. We’ll review this game, start to look at Gold Coast tapes over the next few days and head to it from there.
