Fremantle midfielder Lachie Neale has been charged by the AFL Match Review Panel for striking GWS Giants’ Stephen Coniglio during the second quarter of Saturday night’s clash at Domain Stadium.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from GWS, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the body. The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction but as Neale has no applicable record and has accepted a $1000 sanction with an early plea.
Stephen Coniglio was also cited by the MRP for striking Neale and accepted a $1000 sanction with an early plea.
