The Fremantle Dockers will challenge Michael Walters’ one-match suspension for a headbutt during Fremantle’s clash against Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday.

The incident involved Melbourne’s Jay Lockhart in the third quarter of the clash and was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact.

Fremantle have decided to challenge the ban and risk a $10,000 fee if it is upheld.

The hearing is scheduled for 4.30pm on Tuesday.
