While Peel is not longer in WAFL premiership contention, Fremantle listed player Brady Grey says the club can be proud of its 2015 campaign.
It was an historic year with Peel making its first WAFL finals series but the club was knocked out by East Perth on Sunday at Bendigo Bank Stadium.
Fremantle listed players were a key part of the side’s success this season and the alignment between the clubs remains fruitful.
“Overall, we had our best season and picked up 13 wins,” Grey said.
“I think almost every player on the list improved in some way or form.
“Very disappointing result on the weekend, we would have loved to gone deeper into the finals.
“(But) it was a successful year for Peel.”
Grey averaged 20 disposals a game for Peel this season in 21 matches.
His good form earned a call up to the AFL side and he impressed in his debut against Port Adelaide in round 23, with 20 touches.
“It was really exciting to get a game in the AFL side and loved every minute of it,” he said.
“During the year, I thought I improved a lot in my defensive role and then moved into the midfield during the year and really enjoyed that new challenge.”
Grey said while the year may be over for Peel, the Fremantle listed players would continue on ahead next Friday’s Preliminary Final.
“We’ll keep training and offer support for the AFL boys, we train when they do,” he said.
“There are still some guys who might be in the mix, hopefully the AFL side can get the result.”
