Adam Cerra – Season summary
Playing mostly on the wing or as an inside midfielder, Cerra did things with the football that most AFL players couldn’t, with his spectacular goal against Melbourne just one example of his ability to execute by foot.
With Fremantle looking to fill the voids left open on the wing in the off-season, Cerra stood up to rate as one of the best wingers in the AFL. Like Andrew Brayshaw, he helped heap pressure on opponents with 64 tackles, the second most at Fremantle.
Best game
It’s hard not to go part Adam Cerra’s 30 disposals in slippery conditions against Melbourne in round 16 at Cazaly’s Stadium in Cairns.
In a game where Freo struggled to take their chances, Cerra was clinical and provided the highlight of the game with his checkside snap that secured the win. His seven score involvements tied with Nat Fyfe and led all other players.
