Defender Griffin Logue is a chance to return for the final game of the season, according to general manager of football Peter Bell in this week’s Envision Medical Imaging injury update.
Bell said a decision on whether Logue is ‘ready to go’ would come later in the week.
“Griffin will be looking to have a really solid week on the training track,” Bell said.
“We will then make a call as to whether he is ready to go for the last round.
“I suppose there will be a discussion on whether we would be willing to risk him in that game given his rehabilitation for that toe injury.
“We will make that call later in the week.”
Fellow defender Reece Conca could also make his way back into the Fremantle line-up after taking a cautious approach in his hamstring rehabilitation.
“Reece had some awareness in that left hamstring, which is the one that he injured earlier in the year,” Bell said.
“We took a really conservative option and he was unavailable against North Melbourne (in round 17).
“The scans came back all clear and early reports from Reece are that he should be available this week.”
Midfielder Brett Bewley will also be a test to return as he recovers from a minor groin injury.
Bewley last played for Fremantle in round 14 against Greater Western Sydney.
“Brett had that loss of power through the groin area and a bit of soreness as well,” Bell said.
“He had still minor awareness late last week, but we are hopeful that he will get a full week of training and be available for selection.”
