Luke Ryan will debut this Sunday when Fremantle take on Collingwood at Domain Stadium at 2.40pm.
The 21-year-old defender was drafted at pick no.66 in the 2016 National Draft via VFL team, Coburg Lions.
Ryan travelled to Adelaide as an emergency in last weekend’s loss to Adelaide, but played for Peel Thunder in their round 10 win over Perth where he had 30 disposals, took nine makes and kicked a goal.
The young defender is one of three changes in this weekend’s side along with the inclusion of Aaron Sandilands and Ed Langdon.
Garrick Ibbotson, Jon Griffin and Danyle Pearce come out of the side that lost to the Crows.
Tommy Sheridan, Ibbotson and Griffin have been named as emergencies.
