Three Fremantle players have earned coaches’ votes for round 12 in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award.
Luke Ryan picked up seven votes after yet another outstanding performance in the backline with 24 disposals, five marks, 495 metres-gained and an impressive 14 intercepts.
Matt Taberner continued his streak of a goal in every game, kicking three for the match to break his own personal record for most goals kicked in a season, bringing his 2020 tally to 21. Taberner finished the match with five marks, three of which were contested and earnt himself five votes.
Skipper Nat Fyfe worked hard all game following an imposing first quarter, where he had eight possessions and was involved in four out of the team’s five scores. Fyfe laid four tackles and won 15 of his 21 possessions in the contest to earn himself three votes.
