Geelong triple premiership player Paul Chapman could miss Saturday night's Elimination Final against Fremantle after being reported for a high strike on Sydney Swans midfielder Ben McGlynn.

The incident occurred midway through the first quarter of the Cats' 34-point win at Simonds Stadium.

McGlynn left the ground after the incident, but he returned to field a couple of minutes later and played out of the game.

Geelong coach Chris Scott is confident the report will be thrown out by the Match Review Panel

"I've had a look at the vision quite closely," Scott said on geelongcats.com.au.

"If I was worried I just wouldn't have looked."

Chapman has never been suspended during his 242-game AFL career.
