Stacey Barr and Alicia Janz have both been charged by the AFL’s match review officer for striking Collingwood’s Chloe Molloy on separate occasions during Saturday’s clash at Optus Stadium.
Based on video evidence and a medical report from Collingwood, Barr’s incident, which happened during the first quarter, was assessed as intentional with low impact to the head, which carries a two-match sanction.
Barr can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.
Janz can accept a reprimand with an early plea after her incident in the third quarter was classified as intentional with low impact to the body, which carries a one-match sanction.
