FREMANTLE youngster Anthony Morabito is the final NAB AFL Rising Star nominee for 2010.

Morabito was nominated for his efforts in helping Fremantle overcome Carlton at Subiaco on Friday night.

The no.4 pick from last year’s NAB AFL Draft collected 18 possessions and booted a telling goal in his side’s vital win.

The powerful midfielder has played 21 matches this season, averaging 13 possessions and kicking goals in 10 of his matches.

He was Fremantle’s first selection in the draft after being named Western Australia’s most valuable player at last year’s NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, in which he earned All-Australian honours.

Morabito played for Harvey Football Club before playing 10 senior matches with Peel Thunder in the WAFL in 2009.

Morabito is Fremantle’s second nominee for the NAB Rising Star award, following Nathan Fyfe in round nine.

With his nomination, Morabito now becomes eligible to win this year’s award which will be announced this Wednesday at Melbourne’s Crown Palladium.
