Decimated by injuries, the club has selected almost every available player on its list to fill the 22 spots plus emergencies for the final game of the season.
Ben Bucovaz has been named for his second game of the year after he successfully appealed against a striking charge at the WAFL Tribunal on Thursday.
Justin Bollenhagen, 19, will play his first game in 2011, while first-year player Jayden Pitt, 18, is also back in.
Defender Antoni Grover returns for game 201 after a week off with soreness, while Alex Silvagni has also answered the SOS from Freo’s backline.
Out of the Fremantle side, all with shoulder injuries, are Doig Medal favourite Nat Fyfe, Garrick Ibbotson and Nick Lower, who is also serving the first game of a three-match suspension.
Rhys Palmer also misses after he sustained an injury at training on Wednesday night, while Peter Faulks is out with a broken jaw.
Rookies Hamish Shepheard and Casey Sibosado, who were both elevated on Thursday after Freo was given permission by the AFL to move the duo onto the senior list, have been named as emergencies.
The match marks Freo veteran Byron Schammer’s 129th and final game of AFL football.
Bulldogs’ forward Barry Hall and ruckman Ben Hudson will also be playing their last games.
Despite the outcome of Saturday’s match being meaningless to top eight calculations, Freo stand-in captain Aaron Sandilands indicated that his side will be going all out to win and gather momentum for the pre-season.
“Especially after the last two weeks, they’ve been big losses and we want to go out and put in a really good performance against the Western Bulldogs and get some confidence coming into pre-season next year,” he said.
Sandilands said it was important that the 22 that play on Saturday give a good performance.
“We don’t have a lot to choose from but it’s our last game for the year and it’s one that we want to put a good performance in because it’s a long time between the last game and the first one next year,” he said.
“So we’ll do everything we can to go out and play well and hopefully win.”
