Geelong superstar Steve Johnson has been offered a one-match ban for rough conduct and could miss Saturday's Elimination Final against Fremantle at the MCG.

The AFL's Match Review Panel assessed his hit on Sydney Swan Dan Hannebery as reckless, low impact and body contact.

It drew 180.38 demerit points and a one-match sanction with an early plea.

The brilliant midfielder/forward will risk a two-match ban if he challenges the decision.

Paul Chapman is free to play after he was offered a reprimand for his hit on Ben McGlynn.
